澳门大学(University of Macau/Universiae e Macau)，简称澳大，是澳门第一所现代大学，也是澳门唯一的公立综合性大学。

历史沿革

1981年3月，Ricci Islan West有限公司获澳门政府批租土地，由黄景强先生、胡百熙先生和璘先生创办澳门首间现代大学──私立东亚大学。

1984年，私立东亚大学首届本科生毕业并首次颁授了荣誉博士学位。

1988年，澳葡政府通过澳门基金会收购东亚大学并进行了重组。

1990年，大学将三年制课程改为四年制。

1991年，东亚大学更名为澳门大学，转为公立大学。

1995年，首届硕士生毕业。1997年，首位博士生毕业，本科和硕士课程获得葡萄牙教育部认可。

1999年，澳门大学首批推荐直接入选计划的本科生入学并首次获得了研究专利。

2001年，澳门大学重组校，委任专职主席。

2002年，澳门特区政府批示成立"澳门大学修章工作小组"，正式启动澳门大学章程的修订工作，并且强调修章的目的是要实现澳门大学的现代化和国际化。

2006年9月，澳门立法会通过了《澳门大学法律制度》，行政长官颁布新的《澳门大学章程》，根据章程，校为大学最高合议机关。

2009年，全国人大常委会通过了《澳门特别行政区对设在横琴岛澳门大学新校区实施管辖》的议案，批准澳门大学在广东省横琴岛建设新校区，并授权由澳门特别行政区依照澳门特区的法律实施管辖。

2013年7月20日，澳门大学新校区正式按澳门特区法律实施管辖;11月5日，新校区正式启用。

2014年8月，澳门大学完成迁校。
